Diwan Manna of Chandigarh has done it once again. He is the winner of the Photography Award of the All-India Fine Arts and Crafts Society for the second year in a row. Early this year, the young artist had won the prestigious National Academy Award for his works in Europe.
Six black-and-white photographs, depicting man’s sensitivities about his surroundings, have fetched Diwan this most recent accolade. A multi-media artist, Diwan uses his camera to bring into focus the consequences of social conflicts. He has held three shows in the UK and will be visiting West Yorkshire this August Again for a show.
